Artistic vegetal mural on the sidewalk and lampposts in Talence.

The entrance to the city of Talence, in the Saint-Genès district, was transformed at the end of August with the inauguration of an artistic vegetal mural.

Spanning 110 meters, between boulevard Georges V and rue Émile Loubet, a 220 m² mural has been created on the sidewalk. Inspired by the plant world, it now brings color to this mineral space with its flowers, foliage, and organic shapes. Fifteen existing lampposts have also been decorated with vegetal motifs, creating visual continuity between the ground and the height.
This project, conceived as a coherent whole, aims to reinforce the vegetal identity of Talence, a city awarded the « 4th flower » label. It visually greenifies the area without requiring additional ground space, an advantage in a zone constrained by underground networks, the tramway, and traffic conditions. The goal is to offer a more pleasant daily environment for residents, shopkeepers, and users.
The project also has a participatory dimension, as residents of the Saint-Genès area were able to vote between three sketches proposed by the artist Nerone. This muralist and designer from Marseille is known for his colorful compositions inspired by nature, particularly his emblematic flowers.
