Rue Françoise-Dolto now has a speed limit of 20 km/h and is designated as one-way. Bollards have also been installed to protect pedestrian pathways.
In front of the school, " minute stop " parking spaces have been marked on the ground. These are reserved for dropping off and picking up children on weekdays between 8 AM and 6 PM.
The final step involves a colorful and animated marking at the pedestrian crossing. More visible, it aims to attract motorists' attention and secure crossings, while making the school surroundings more welcoming.
These developments were carried out in concertation with the parents' association, complementing the interventions of Bordeaux Métropole. They are accompanied by awareness campaigns for families on safe practices, particularly the importance of parking only in designated areas.
The initiative continues, as the Béquet nursery school is also scheduled for upcoming improvements.
