Inspired by the musical group Les Rita Mitsouko and the name of her company, Assistance De Nuit (ADN), Cathy founded ADN 87 with a clear vision: to prioritize people and staying at home. After witnessing mistreatment in institutions, this former educator, home helper, and ambulance driver for the SAMU de Paris developed a concept of 'EHPAD without walls'.
This personalized support model allows elderly or disabled individuals to continue living in their homes, maintaining their autonomy and social life. The company offers short, justified interventions, including overnight, avoiding full-night pricing. Launched in 2013 in Limoges, the concept has grown rapidly, expanding to Saint-Junien in 2019 and opening a new branch in Ambazac in 2026.
The new Ambazac branch is managed by Amélie, who ensures participatory scheduling, considering beneficiaries' wishes and the auxiliary team's availability. With her background in hospitality and human resources, Amélie plays a key role in intergenerational connection and facilitating life for the 52 beneficiaries already using ADN 87's services in the area.
ADN 87 currently employs 130 staff members and assists over 1100 people across three sectors, equivalent to the capacity of 10 nursing homes. Nine home helpers in the Ambazac area provide domestic help, shopping assistance, personal care (bathing, changing, transfers), social stimulation, and minor DIY and gardening tasks. Overnight services (8 PM - 7 AM) include medication reminders and assistance with comfort and sleep.
Cathy summarizes the company's philosophy: 'We support people in their homes to preserve their free choice to stay, in comfort and safety, in their own homes, with dignity.' Additionally, services are 50% tax-deductible for beneficiaries.
