At just 22 years old, Laetitia Emier, who has been riding horses since childhood, is the pride of her hometown, Ambazac. After starting at the local riding center, she has owned her own horse for nearly nine years, an adventure made possible by her mother's support.
Her equestrian journey truly took off on January 3, 2018, when she joined the stables of Team Équitation Limoges with her pony. Initially not intending to compete, she was eventually encouraged to enter competitions.
In the competition arena, Laetitia Emier has explored several disciplines, including eventing, dressage, and show jumping, twice earning the title of French vice-champion. This year, she also excelled in TREC, a discipline that combines three distinct tests.
TREC includes an Orientation and Regularity Course (POR), which tests the horse and rider's navigation skills on a set route, a Gait Control (MA) test, and finally, a Varied Terrain Course (PTV). The latter challenges the horse-rider partnership's versatility against obstacles inspired by real-world outdoor situations, such as ditches, logs, and bridges.
Laetitia attributes much of her success to her pony, described as incredibly versatile and possessing a huge heart. She also wishes to thank those who support her daily, particularly the stable manager Stéphane Barrière and her coach Ophélie Metz, both recognized for their love of horses, kindness, and unwavering support.
