Preparations for Téléthon 2026 are underway in Ambazac, with volunteers and associations invited to participate. The event will take place on Saturday, December 5th, from 10 AM to 5 PM, at Place de la République.
This 40th edition aims to highlight the progress made against rare diseases over the past four decades, while also acknowledging the challenges that remain. The goal is to 'overturn disease' and surpass last year's fundraising total.
In 2025, local activities raised 1863 euros, with an additional 6040 euros collected via the 3637 hotline in Ambazac. Several local associations have already committed to animating the day and providing food services for Téléthon.
The theme for this edition is the Téléthon Relay. Participants are encouraged to walk, run, or rollerblade through the town's streets. A participation fee of 2 euros is requested, while children can join for free. Donations, 66% tax-deductible, can also be made by calling 3637 until December 11th, or through the AFM-Téléthon website.
