The City of Couzeix is launching a call for candidates to recruit new members for its Council of Elders, a consultative body composed of volunteer citizens over 60 years old.

The City of Couzeix invites residents over 60 years old, living in the municipality, to join the Council of Elders. This initiative aims to enrich the consultative body with new experiences and ideas to contribute to local life.
Established in 2022 and a member of the French Federation of Villages and Wise Towns since 2025, the Council of Elders brings together volunteers eager to share their knowledge of the territory and their proposals on matters of communal interest. The goal is to promote citizen participation and intergenerational transmission.
Following the desire of some members to pass on their roles, the City seeks to renew part of the Council. Interested candidates will need to complete an application form detailing their background, motivations, and the subjects they wish to engage with.
The application form is available for download on the town hall's website, as well as at the town hall reception and the media library. The deadline for submitting applications is November 15, 2026. The City will then review the applications to form a Council with complementary profiles.
