The Department of Haute-Vienne, through its new 'Start 87' Youth Plan, is enhancing its financial aid program for BAFA and BAFD training, addressing the growing need for qualified animators.

As part of its new Youth Plan 2026-2029 'Start 87', the Department of Haute-Vienne is expanding its aid for BAFA (Certificate of Aptitude for the Functions of Animator) and BAFD (Certificate of Aptitude for the Functions of Director) training to facilitate young people's access to animation professions.
These certificates are essential for supervising children and adolescents in leisure centers and holiday camps. With recruitment of qualified animators and directors being a recurring challenge for these facilities, the cost of training can be a barrier. This aid expansion aims to ease access to these courses and help meet the territory's needs.
Previously capped, the departmental scheme is now extended to young residents of Haute-Vienne with a family quotient above €769. The conditions for attribution, amounts based on family quotient, and application procedures are detailed on the dedicated page of the Department's website.
This initiative aligns with the Department's commitment to strengthening its youth policies. The 'Start 87' Youth Plan maintains existing programs and introduces new aid to better address the needs of young people and the region. An exceptional aid of €100 is also offered to young people born in 2008, under certain conditions.
