This November 25th marks the international day for the elimination of violence against women. The New Aquitaine Region, in collaboration with various partners, is deploying an information and awareness campaign to inform the general public and young people.

November 25th, proclaimed in 1999 by UNESCO, is dedicated to combating violence against women. Throughout November, the Region is actively engaged through an information and awareness campaign aimed at the general public.
This initiative is organized in partnership with the Regional Health Agency of New Aquitaine, state services, the association Avec Santé Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee, the Regional Observatory for Sexist and Sexual Violence, the Regional Youth Council, the Regional Federation of Information Centers for Women's Rights and Families, and the Regional Federation of the French Movement for Family Planning.
The main objective of this campaign is to widely inform about the scale and mechanisms of violence experienced by women. It also aims to encourage victims to speak out and witnesses to react to these situations.
