Elected officials from Aixe-sur-Vienne demonstrated their support for the city of Limoges and its staff after the fire at their town hall, denouncing acts of vandalism.

The Municipal Council wished to express its support for the Mayor and elected officials of the city of Limoges, as well as all its agents. About ten elected officials from Aixe were present this Sunday, October 18, in the Place de la République in Limoges, amidst a very dense crowd.
Many elected officials and citizens, affected by the tragedy, wanted to show their determination to remain united against this attack on a symbol of the Republic, the town hall.
It is regrettable that a minority of vandals take advantage of the right to protest to engage in looting of shops and destruction of public property.
