Addressing mobility challenges in rural areas, particularly for those without vehicles or unable to drive, the association T.Solid'Aire has been launched within the territory of the Communauté de communes d’Aire-sur-l’Adour. Its goal is to facilitate essential trips such as medical appointments, shopping, and administrative tasks.
The core principle is mutual aid among residents: volunteer drivers offer their time to occasionally accompany association members facing mobility difficulties. T.Solid'Aire manages the coordination between beneficiaries and volunteer drivers. An annual membership is required, along with compensation for travel expenses paid directly to the driver.
Beyond just transportation, the association aims to build a local network that enhances residents' autonomy and social connections. To introduce this initiative, a public meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 3 PM at the Médiathèque d’Aire-sur-l’Adour.
