The 15th edition of the Sustainable Construction & Living Environment Innovation Award has reached a key stage. On September 29, 2026, sixteen companies and innovative project leaders gathered in Bordeaux to present their solutions to an expert jury. This semi-final, organized by the FFB Nouvelle-Aquitaine, selected the 8 projects that will proceed to the next stage: the national final in Paris, on November 24, 2026.
The presented projects covered a wide range of innovations transforming the building and living environment sector. Topics included bio-based materials, energy, circular economy, digital tools, waste management, renovation, and technical equipment. The 16 candidates had a few minutes to convince the jury based on criteria such as the project's innovative nature, the team's skills, development potential, and consideration of sustainable development challenges.
The eight selected finalists are: BINKO (intelligent micro-sorting center), HOTRIVER (heat pump capturing energy from water bodies), REED MATERIAL (bio-based panels), PACCAP (versatile heat pump), HAPIIX (digital intercom and access control solution), KUTX (digital platform for rehabilitation operations), KALARIA (prefabricated hemp concrete mega-blocks), and PURPLE ALTERNATIVE SURFACE (upcycling rigid plastic waste).
The Bordeaux jury comprised recognized professionals from the construction industry, professional organizations, local authorities, and innovation and business development structures, including representatives from the Landes Departmental Council, MACS, EDF, Bouygues Construction, Etchart Construction, Fédération CINOV, Domofrance, FFB Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Crédit Agricole Group / Village by CA, AQUITI, ADI Nouvelle-Aquitaine, French Tech Bordeaux, ODEYS, and XYLOFUTUR.
These eight finalists will meet on November 24, 2026, in Paris, at the partner's premises, FEDERREC, for the presentation before the National Grand Jury. Beyond the competition, this event aims to expose projects to leading professionals, foster networking, and increase the visibility of innovations. The competition offers a total prize pool of €20,000, including a Grand Prize of €12,000, as well as one year of support from the Technopôle Domolandes.
Organized by the Technopôle Domolandes since 2012, the Sustainable Construction & Living Environment Innovation Award aims to identify and reward innovative business creation or development projects in sustainable construction, while promoting their growth.
