Thomas Dufau, director of the Mont-de-Marsan bullring, is launching a revitalization project for the Plumaçon, aiming to enhance its profile, ensure financial stability, and animate the venue year-round.

The project is based on an analysis of past seasons to build a taurine program aligned with aficionados' expectations. The 2027 season will feature seven events: five bullfights (corridas), one bullfight with picadors (novillada piquée), and one without (novillada sans picador). Beyond these spectacles, the Plumaçon aims to become a permanent hub for culture, sports, fan clubs (peñas), and businesses in the heart of the city.
To implement these ambitions, a new Extra-Municipal Taurine Commission (CTEM) has been officially established. This commission is organized into seven working groups: Education, Communication, Peñas, Culture, Customer Experience, Administration, and Programming. It brings together diverse and passionate local profiles.
The members of this new commission are: Thomas Dufau (bullring director), Jean-François Cabannes, Nicolas Mirabaud, Nathalie Garcia, Baptiste Bordes, Pierre-Clément Bouniol Carpanetti, Pascal Darquié, Antoine Capdeville, and Manolo Gloria.
