The ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine is deploying a program of Medical Advisors for Indoor Environments (CMEI) to conduct home visits in areas affected by fires, targeting families with children suffering from respiratory illnesses and pregnant women.

The aim of these visits is to assess the presence of combustion particle reservoirs that could be resuspended and worsen respiratory problems. Advisors will provide recommendations on cleaning, ventilation, and minimizing aggravating factors such as chemicals.
To receive this support, families must first consult a doctor, who will determine the necessity of the visit and complete a request form. This form should be sent to the Association for the Prevention of Atmospheric Pollution (APPA), which manages the program's secretariat in conjunction with the ARS.
Following the request, families will be contacted directly by a medical advisor to schedule the visit as soon as possible. The request form, available in French and weighing 563 KB, must be signed by the physician.
