In partnership with Cinétyr, the Focales festival, and Cinémas Indépendants Nouvelle Aquitaine, the town of Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse is offering a unique cinema event this Tuesday, September 29th. The film being shown is "Elephants in the Mist", a 1h47 Franco-German-Brazilian-Norwegian dramatic comedy directed by Abinash Bikram Shah.
The film stars Pushpa Thing Lama, Deepika Yadav, and Jamin Bishwokarma. The story is set in a Nepalese village surrounded by a forest inhabited by wild elephants, home to a revered yet feared Kinnar community. The narrative follows Pirati, a mother in this community, torn between her desire for freedom and her responsibilities towards her family when one of her daughters goes missing.
The evening will begin at 7:45 PM with a welcome drink in the cinema's foyer. Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with Charles Audinet, the film's producer, and representatives from the Association Nos couleurs, the LGBTQIA+ Centre of the Landes.
