The Town of Le Passage, in partnership with the League Against Cancer and Action Cancer 47, is organizing two days of prevention, screening, and solidarity against breast cancer on October 9th and 10th.

On the occasion of October Rose, the Town of Le Passage, in partnership with the League Against Cancer and Action Cancer 47, is organizing two days dedicated to breast cancer prevention, screening, awareness, and solidarity. On Friday, October 9th, and Saturday, October 10th, residents, associations, professionals, merchants, artisans, and local partners are invited to mobilize around numerous events. These two days will also be an opportunity to provide support to those affected by the disease, their loved ones, and caregivers, while promoting information and exchanges in a friendly atmosphere.
Friday, October 9th will begin with a 6-kilometer family-friendly, inclusive, and solidarity walk, organized in partnership with the association ALPA Marche. A solidarity walk of approximately 600 meters to the Pont-Canal will also be offered. The program starts at 5:45 PM with public reception and the opening of information stands, followed by a musical warm-up at 6:30 PM. The walk departs at 6:45 PM from the foot of the Passerelle Michel Serres. The evening will conclude at 8:45 PM with a collective soup offered by Boucherie de l’Étable à l’Assiette and Les Frères du Marché. Participation is €5. For safety reasons, participants are asked to bring a reflective vest and a headlamp.
On Saturday, October 10th, the mobilization continues with a large family and solidarity day, titled "Passage en rose," on the Place de la République and at the Parc paysager des Maisons Éclusières starting at 10 AM. Numerous activities will be offered throughout the day: information stands, sports activities, wellness workshops, entertainment, an exhibition, solidarity tattoos, and dedicated children's areas. Visitors will find information and awareness stands from the League Against Cancer and Action Cancer 47, as well as entertainment provided by local associations and clubs such as ALPA Basket, AS Passage Football Club, Rugby Santé, the Cercle des Amis du Yoga, the Atelier du Cycle, and the Chacha Club.
Two highlights will punctuate the afternoon: a solidarity fashion show at 3 PM, organized in partnership with Kedy’s and Grain de Malice, and a Bachata demonstration and initiation at 4 PM, with the Chacha Club. The Parc paysager des Maisons Éclusières will host an area dedicated to prevention, support, and well-being, featuring breast cancer screening awareness with a gynecologist, an information stand from the Maison des Aidants, a Qi Gong demonstration at 10:30 AM, and a solidarity pétanque competition at 2:30 PM with La Pétanque Joyeuse.
Various workshops will be offered, including sophrology, massage, reflexology, naturopathy, hypnosis, socio-aesthetics, magnetism, perfumery, and hairdressing, with numerous professionals. A writing workshop is scheduled from 3 PM to 5 PM with Hafida Demathieux- Kouach. Flash tattoos will be available from L’Encre de Femme and Nine Tattoo. A photographic exhibition and photo stand are planned with Natacha Launey and the Passage Photo Club. Food will be provided by Hyp’s Truck, Le Kreyol Chaud, and Les Douceurs de Clem, along with a refreshment bar and musical entertainment.
The organization of these two days relies on the mobilization of many local stakeholders. The Town thanks all the associations, clubs, merchants, artisans, professionals, and municipal services, as well as Intermarché, RiffCenter, the Chacha Club, Les Échecs en passant, Les Serres de Camélat, Guy Hoquet, Optical Center, the Maison des Jeunes, and the Service Enfance-Jeunesse-Éducation de la Ville for their commitment. This collective mobilization demonstrates the commitment of local actors to prevention, information, and solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. Everyone is invited to participate in these two days.
