The city of Marmande and Val de Garonne Agglomération are starting sewer rehabilitation works on Boulevard Meyniel on October 5, 2026, which will continue until April 2, 2027.

The city of Marmande and Val de Garonne Agglomération are undertaking significant rehabilitation works on the built sewer on Boulevard Meyniel, between Place du 14-Juillet and the Lestang crossroads. These operations, beginning on October 5, 2026, and concluding on April 2, 2027, aim to strengthen the solidity and durability of the existing structure, while preparing for the future separation of wastewater and rainwater networks.
Managed by Val de Garonne Agglomération, the work primarily involves repairing the existing sewer's civil engineering from the inside. This intervention will also allow for the eventual separation of urban wastewater and rainwater systems.
The construction site will affect several areas: Boulevard Meyniel (from Place du 14-Juillet to the Lestang crossroads), Rue Deluns-Montaud (concreting an unused section for structural security), and the area between Rue de la Libération and petite rue Touratte (internal crack repair). Work will proceed in 100 to 150-meter sections to minimize disruption.
During the construction period, traffic on Boulevard Meyniel will be reduced to a single lane on the odd-numbered side. Parking will be prohibited on this side, in successive sections. Ten parking spaces at Place du 14-Juillet will also be used for site installations and equipment. The Lestang and Résidence Meyniel bus stops (Evalys network line A) will be relocated upstream of the work zone.
Waste collection will proceed normally, with residents asked to place their bins on either side of the construction zone, marked by barriers. The project represents an investment of €780,000 including tax, funded equally by Val de Garonne Agglomération (for water and sanitation) and the City of Marmande (for rainwater management). The work has been awarded to the company SUBTERRA, with technical assistance from Infraneo.
