This year, the national collection for the Food Banks will take place from Friday the 6th, Saturday the 7th, and Sunday the 8th of November (morning). In 2025, the collection in Béarn & Soule managed to collect 115 tons, representing over 10% of the annual distribution, thus helping more than 6000 people to eat better throughout the year.
The organization is seeking volunteers for this 2026 collection. Registrations can be made directly on the homepage of the food bank's website: bapau.banquealimentaire.org.
Volunteer shift schedules are as follows:
Friday and Saturday: Each shift lasts approximately 2.5 hours, with several time slots available: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM, and 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
Sunday: Shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

During registration, volunteers are asked to specify: their preferred shift day (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), their municipality of residence, and up to three preferred supermarkets (large and medium-sized). Volunteers will then be contacted to confirm their assignment and time slot.
The appeal also encourages sharing this message with friends and family to act together against food insecurity. It is also possible to support the Banque Alimentaire Béarn & Soule through financial donations, which are eligible for a 75% tax reduction. Donations can be made online or by check.
