On Tuesday, October 6th, the first 'Entr’Aidants' café was launched in Hasparren, an initiative by the CCAS aimed at creating a dedicated space for caregivers. This initial meeting, co-led with Caroline CARLIER from Bulle d’Air, allowed participants to share their experiences, questions, and needs in a friendly setting.
Daily care for an elderly, ill, disabled, or dependent loved one is a valuable commitment, but it can also lead to fatigue, isolation, and numerous questions. The 'Entr’Aidants' café aims to be a place for open discussion, meeting others in similar situations, and accessing professional information.
Beyond this symbolic inauguration, the 'Entr’Aidants' café is intended to be a lasting initiative. It will now be held on the first Tuesday of each month, focusing on themes determined by the expressed expectations and needs of caregivers. Professionals will participate in discussions as needed to share their expertise.
The objective is simple: to ensure no one faces daily difficulties alone and to enable everyone to find listening ears, advice, and resources. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd, at the Chocolats Pascal tea room, with the participation of Dr. Ranchou, a geriatrician from the Mobile Geriatrics Team at CHCB Bayonne.
