The association Montardon Accro’Bike and the walkers of Montardon are organizing the first edition of the « Rando des sources », on Sunday, October 4th. This event aims to highlight the natural landscapes and rural heritage of Montardon and neighboring communes such as Buros, Saint-Castin, Maucor, and Serres-Castet.
Several routes are offered, including VTT options with varied elevation gains (18 km – 250 D +, 31 km – 600 D +, 37 km – 750 D +, 50 km – 1 100 D +) and walks of 8.5 km and 12.5 km. Open VTT departures will begin at 8:30 AM, followed by the walk departure at 9:00 AM. Registrations will start at 8:00 AM at the multi-purpose hall.
Beyond the sporting and friendly aspect, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the KOALA association, which supports the well-being of hospitalized children. The organizers also thank the local farmers for exceptionally opening their properties, thus allowing for more diverse and accessible routes.
Fees are set at 8 euros for VTT participants and 5 euros for walkers.
