The association Sauvagnon Art et Terroir is celebrating its thirty years of existence this Saturday, October 10th, with a rally and a festive evening, marking three decades dedicated to promoting local heritage.

Founded in October 1996 by local producers and artisans, the association Sauvagnon Art et Terroir is turning thirty this Saturday, October 10th. Initially created to support the weekly market and ensure product authenticity, the association has evolved while maintaining its goal of promoting the village's "authentic" gastronomic and artistic heritage.
To mark this anniversary, a fun and cultural rally is organized during the day. The secret itinerary will lead participants to meet local farmers. This initiative aims to discover their working environment, interact with them, and present practical challenges and riddles along the route.
The day will conclude with a return to the Centre Festif for the rally results announcement and a festive evening featuring the "Folie Bandas" from Aureilhan, including a convivial meal.
The association's history began in late 1996, under the impetus of André Hermet, a producer from Caubios, with the creation of "Sauvagnon Art et Terroir". About thirty local artisans and producers organized the first exhibition-sale on December 8, 1996, an event that continues annually as a Christmas market.
Over the years, the association has developed concepts such as the "self paysan" (farmer's self-service), which is repeated each year to open the local festivities. The pride in concretely achieving something together and promoting local traditions is complemented by a desire to pass on knowledge, with the idea of a future "Art et Terroir Junior".
Eric Nouailhas, the current President, emphasizes the importance of this anniversary: "Remembering the past to prepare the future."
The rally will start at 9:30 AM in teams by car, with a return scheduled around 4:30 PM. The circuit of over 50 km will include visits and games, with participants needing to bring their own picnic. The final ranking will consider the shortest route, points gained in games, and potential rescue penalties.
