Dr Elisa Larrieu Ardilouze, a cardiologist at CHU de Poitiers, has built her career in the city, specializing in interventional cardiology. She now practices significantly at CHU de Poitiers and, since 2024, also coordinates cardiology services at the Châtellerault site.
This cross-functional role aims to optimize care organization, unite teams, and advance local healthcare offerings. "It's about directly benefiting the region's population with the expertise, innovative treatments, and technical proficiency unique to the CHU," states Dr Larrieu Ardilouze.
Several key projects have been launched in Châtellerault, including strengthening heart failure services with a dedicated network and establishing a weekly rhythmology activity. The upcoming introduction of a coronary scanner service, in collaboration with radiology, will further boost the site's appeal.
Knowledge transmission and research are also central to her work. Dr Larrieu Ardilouze has been teaching at the radiology technicians' school for ten years and trains advanced practice nurses, while participating in research protocols on coronary, valvular, and pulmonary hypertension activities.
“"To continue developing cardiology in Châtellerault and sustainably attract professionals, within a highly committed medical and paramedical team, while preserving the human dimension that defines the quality of this site."
