Starting Monday, November 2, 2026, the commune of Marennes-Hiers-Brouage is changing its school transport organization, engaging external carrier Michel Voyages due to a malfunction of the communal bus.

Until now, the commune managed the transport of students between Marennes and Brouage, including a stop in Hiers, under the coordination of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region. The continuity of this service is now entrusted to Michel Voyages, as the repair date for the communal bus is currently unknown.
During the first week of this new setup, a municipal agent will be on board the bus to assist children and help them adjust. The route remains unchanged: Marennes – Hiers – Brouage.
In Hiers, the single stop is now located on Rue Bernard-Palissy, at the bus shelter. Scheduled arrival times are 8:45 AM in the morning and 4:45 PM in the evening. The commune thanks families for their understanding and guarantees the continuity of the service.
