For three days, the Health & Wellness Village will be in Brive, offering residents, both men and women, discussions on prevention, mental health, and support for victims of violence. Professionals and associations will be present to provide free information and advice without appointments, on the Place du 14 Juillet.
A special service is available for women aged 25 to 65 in vulnerable situations. Aboard the Women's Heart Bus, they will receive a comprehensive ten-step screening, including a medical interview, cardiovascular and metabolic risk assessment, gynecological check-up, addiction screening, and if necessary, an electrocardiogram and arterial screening. A nutrition counseling area and a personalized consultation with a doctor complete this program, aimed at identifying often unknown risks and guiding each woman towards appropriate follow-up.
This year introduces the Home Blood Pressure Monitoring Station, allowing participants to learn how to measure their own blood pressure and take home a monitor. Last year, 275 women benefited from this screening in Brive.
This new edition is a collaborative effort involving the foundation Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes, the City, the hospitals of Corrèze, and numerous health professionals.
The village will be open from Wednesday, October 14 to Friday, October 16, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5 PM. Screening on the bus requires prior registration at 06 23 79 31 18.
