The ANR Gilets Jaunes research project is launching a podcast series titled "Sous les gilets," exploring the geography and issues of the social movement.

The ANR Gilets Jaunes team is pleased to launch a podcast series from the GILETSJAUNES research project, funded by ANR and hosted at the Centre Émile Durkheim at Sciences Po Bordeaux. This initiative aims to disseminate scientific knowledge to a broad audience.
The first episode, "#Souslesgilets: from roundabouts to the Champs-Élysées," focuses on the geography of the movement. It highlights roundabouts as places of life and organization, as well as demonstrations in city centers, particularly in Paris, targeting centers of power.
Geographer Etienne Walker, a researcher at the University of Caen and member of the Espaces et Sociétés laboratory, coordinates research on the "configurations and spatialities of the Yellow Vests movement." He analyzes what this geography reveals about the participants, their relationship to the territory, and the organization of society.
This podcast series, produced by La Clé des Ondes, follows several years of collaborative research involving over 50 people. The project has already received the Scientific Mediation Medal and has led to publications and citizen encounters.
The ANR GILETSJAUNES project, supported by ANR and the Centre Émile Durkheim, aims to make research accessible, particularly through audio formats like this new podcast series.
