The 2026 investment works on community-interest municipal roads are commencing in the Montana district of Laguenne-sur-Avalouze. Public works company COLAS has been selected by Tulle Agglo to renew the road surface. These operations include the repair of the defective stormwater management system and the reinforcement of the road structure. The aim is to better support the heavy truck traffic towards the Cueille zone, following the work carried out in 2025 on Docteur Ramon street, near Leclerc, in Tulle.
Throughout the construction period, the GEMO store, the electrification federation, the hunters' federation of Corrèze, as well as all the residents' homes, will remain accessible to pedestrians.
Traffic disruptions are expected. The first phase, on Monday, October 12th from 8 AM to 12 PM, will involve the complete closure of the section between the roundabout and the GEMO store's parking lot. Vehicle access to the GEMO, Résidence, and Fédération de Chasse parking lots will be impossible. From 12 PM to 5 PM on the same day, only the section between the GEMO parking lot and the Dr Ramon bridge will be closed for milling the rest of the area to be treated, allowing access to the parking lots. On Tuesday, October 13th, from 8 AM to 5 PM, work on the bridge access curbs and the stormwater system will be carried out under alternating traffic, with continued access to the parking lots. Finally, on Wednesday, October 14th, from 8 AM to 5 PM, a complete traffic closure is scheduled for the reinforcement with 0/14 bitumen gravel and the application of the 0/10 bituminous concrete surface. Vehicle access to the GEMO, Résidence, and Fédération de Chasse parking lots will again be impossible.
The total cost of the works amounts to €52,000 excluding tax.
