Niort Agglo is offering an exemption from the inter-municipal portion of the property tax on undeveloped land (TFNB) to support the local agricultural sector.

To encourage the establishment and diversification of agricultural holdings, in line with the Territorial Food Project and the Re-Sources program, Niort Agglo grants an exemption from the inter-municipal share of the property tax on undeveloped land (TFNB) in three specific situations.
Young farmers can benefit from a tax reduction for five years, starting from January 1st of the year following their installation.
Producers engaged in organic farming can, in turn, benefit from a five-year exemption starting from the year following their first certification. For those already certified before the implementation of the scheme by Niort Agglo, the exemption applies for the remaining years.
Finally, agricultural land subject to an environmental real obligation (ORE) benefits from an exemption with no time limit.
It should be noted that this exemption only concerns the inter-municipal portion of the property tax on undeveloped land. To find out if a municipal portion exemption is also offered, inquire with your local town hall.
