The evening began with the announcement of the winners of the illustration contest "Périgord-Limousin in 2050," organized in partnership with the resource center Ça circule. This contest invited residents to project their hopes and fears regarding climate change onto canvas or paper. The works of the 22 participants were unveiled during an exhibition, highlighting a shared concern about water resources.
A jury of five personalities awarded four prizes, recognizing the quality of the creations and the artists' foresight in imagining new ways to inhabit the territory by 2050. A "public prize" was also awarded. The winners include Chloé Bappel (Public Prize), Raphaël (Special "child" prize), Anne Escaravage (3rd prize), Rémi Bouchet (2nd prize), and Alison Steen (1st prize).
Better to laugh than to cry
The second part of the evening featured an improvisation show created by OiEau for the Regional Natural Park. Actors improvised stories about Périgord-Limousin in 2050 based on audience suggestions, blending humor and sensitivity.
The event also included the broadcast of an audio recording from last year's writing contest, previewing 25 podcasts to be released soon. The buffet featured unusual flavors to highlight the impact of climate change on agriculture. A caricaturist also drew the winners aged 25 years older.
This initiative aims to give substance to the visions of Périgord-Limousin in 2050 and to emphasize that climate change adaptation is also a collective construction.
