On the occasion of Blue Week, the CCAS of Avensan and the association Les Petiot’s organized intergenerational meetings, marking a successful first collaboration.

For Blue Week, dedicated to retirees and the elderly, the CCAS of Avensan partnered for the first time with the association Les Petiot’s. The goal was to foster exchanges between generations.
On Monday, October 5th, a touching visit took place at the EHPAD Médulli in Castelnau-de-Médoc. Five childminders, accompanied by the children they care for, presented 80 drawings made by the commune's toddlers. The morning included a shared snack, creating beautiful moments of complicity and many smiles, an experience appreciated by all.
Continuing the festivities, on Thursday, October 8th, the association Les Petiot’s invited Avensan Ludique et Détente (ALD) for a morning of reading for the youngest. Captivating stories and nursery rhymes enlivened the meeting, which concluded with a friendly snack.
A big thank you was extended to Viviane and Francine for their enthusiastic animation, as well as to Peggy and Myriam from MAM « 1, 2, 3 Jouons », for their contribution to the drawings offered to the EHPAD residents.
These initiatives highlight the importance of intergenerational bonds, aiming to create encounters, share smiles, and break the isolation of seniors. The commitment of the mobilized individuals and associations was praised.
