The former kindergarten of Maine Gagnaud has been transformed to house the E2C, featuring a building that notably benefits from a Canadian well for natural air temperature regulation. This project aims to provide a conducive setting for the professional integration of young people.
E2C students benefit from a network of 800 partner companies ready to welcome them for internships. Last year, out of 100 young people supported at the Charente site, half secured training, an apprenticeship, a work contract, or a civic service position, demonstrating the program's effectiveness.
The inauguration was attended by several elected officials, including Xavier Bonnefont, president of GrandAngoulême, who reaffirmed the community's commitment to youth employment and integration. Michel Buisson, vice-president in charge of these matters, was also present.
The AFPA training center will also soon join these premises. The operation received financial support from several partners, notably the State (€300,000) and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region (€216,410), with GrandAngoulême's self-financing share amounting to €638,590.
