The municipality of Carcans has implemented a communal register for vulnerable individuals to provide better support and increased safety for its most fragile residents.

This system allows the Communal Center for Social Action (CCAS) to organize regular contact with registered individuals. It is particularly useful during the activation of an alert and emergency plan, such as in cases of heatwaves, severe cold, or bad weather. The register also aims to inform registrants about existing aid schemes, combat isolation, and identify situations of autonomy loss.
Individuals residing at home who are aged 65 and over, or aged 60 and over and recognized as unfit for work, are eligible for registration. Adults with disabilities receiving an invalidity pension meeting the criteria specified on the form are also included.
To register, individuals can download and complete the 2026 communal register for vulnerable persons application form, available online. The collected information is confidential, and CCAS members, as well as staff who may contact registrants, are bound by professional secrecy.
The municipality of Carcans reaffirms its commitment to caring for its most vulnerable inhabitants.
