In support of the fight against breast cancer, the Gironde department is mobilizing in October for the October Rose initiative. Numerous actions are planned throughout the department to raise awareness and inform.
The commune of Saint-Genès-de-Lombaud encourages its residents to join this solidarity movement. Participants are invited to wear a pink T-shirt during the walking tours that will take place in the Entre-deux-Mers region over the coming weeks. These T-shirts can be collected at the town hall.
Several local events are scheduled for this initiative:
On Sunday, October 11th, multiple walks are planned: a 10 km and a 5 km Rose Walk starting from the bus stop parking lot in Capian (organized by the Club Gym Volontaire de Capian), a 7 km Rose Walk starting from the church in Loupes, and a 7 km Gourmet Walk starting from the Salle Polyvalente in Baron (organized by the Association Gym Volontaire de Baron). In Créon, the 'Randonnée des Vendanges' offers 8 km and 15 km routes starting from the Vélo Station.
On Saturday, October 17th, the Handball Club of Créon is organizing a Rose Walk starting at 8:30 AM, departing from Salle Ulis Zinger, chemin de la douve.
Finally, on Sunday, October 25th, the Association Sportive Poutaise & Sports Loisirs of Cursan is organizing a 7 km Rose Walk starting from the village hall in Le Pout.
