On the occasion of Octobre Rose, the Town of Le Teich is renewing its partnership with the League Against Cancer and invites you on Sunday, October 18 to the Plaine des Sports for a morning dedicated to solidarity, prevention, and sport.
The program includes a 5 km solidarity walk and run. A new feature this year: projections of pink powder will add color along the route, creating a sporty and friendly morning.
The morning will begin at 10 AM with a collective warm-up led by the association Gymnastique Volontaire, before the start of the walk and run at 10:30 AM. Everyone can participate at their own pace.
Participants can purchase a pink powder kit for €5. Made from corn, this powder is biodegradable. Proceeds from kit sales will be fully donated to the League Against Cancer. Kits are available online via HelloAsso and on-site on the day of the event.
The League Against Cancer will have an information booth, prevention workshops, and a donation drive to support research. The event highlights the importance of breast cancer screening, which affects 1 in 8 women. When detected early, it can be cured in 9 out of 10 cases.
