In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the use of personal services, already higher than the national average, is expected to see a significant increase by 2050, reaching nearly 572,200 households.

In 2019, 433,300 households in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, representing 16% of all households, used personal services. This proportion is higher than in Metropolitan France (13.9%). Usage is particularly common among older and wealthier households, and also varies by territory and family composition.
The study by DREETS Nouvelle-Aquitaine projects a continued increase in the number of users by 2050, mainly due to the growing number of elderly households. The ability for seniors to remain at home will play a key role in this trend.
In the central scenario, the number of user households could thus rise to nearly 572,200, an increase of approximately 139,000 additional households compared to 2019.
