RTE has initiated a public consultation regarding the GiLA project (Gironde – Loire-Atlantique). This initiative aims to strengthen the energy transition along the Atlantic facade by establishing a new electrical line, both submarine and underground. The project also intends to connect future offshore wind farms.
This significant project will have a direct impact on the region. To inform residents and address their questions, RTE is organizing several events.
A public information session will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at the Town Hall of Castelnau-de-Médoc (room 9, rue de l'ancien collège). Following this, a public meeting will take place on the same day at 6 PM at the Town Hall of Hourtin (animation room).
