Les Petits Champions de la Lecture (Little Reading Champions) is a national public reading competition, supported by the Ministry of National Education, aimed at children in CM1 and CM2 grades.
The concept is straightforward: each volunteer child selects an excerpt from their favorite book and has 3 minutes to read it aloud to a jury and the audience. This competition aims to celebrate public reading, develop self-confidence, and introduce the joy of reading to younger generations.
Organized by the municipal library, registrations are open from October 1st to October 31st, 2026. Individual training sessions will be offered starting in November at La Biblio. The local final is scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd, 2027, during the Nuits de la Lecture (Nights of Reading).
