The Margaux-Cantenac Town Hall reminds the public of the importance of winter vaccinations against flu and Covid-19, simple steps to protect the most vulnerable. It is now possible to receive both vaccines during the same consultation, administered in two different injection sites.
Flu vaccination is particularly recommended for individuals aged 65 and over, pregnant women, people with chronic or immunocompromised conditions, and those with obesity (BMI of 40 or higher). It also concerns the close contacts of vulnerable individuals and healthcare professionals.
The flu can cause serious complications, hospitalization, or even death in fragile individuals. Vaccination remains the best protection against severe forms. The campaign started on October 13, 2026, and will continue until January 31, 2027.
For Covid-19, the vaccine is 100% covered by health insurance for everyone aged 5 and over. Eligible individuals can receive both vaccines on the same day, during a single appointment.
The flu vaccine can be administered by a doctor, pharmacist, nurse, or midwife. Targeted individuals can collect their flu vaccine free of charge at pharmacies upon presentation of their health insurance card and coverage voucher. The injection is 100% covered by health insurance.
Getting vaccinated is a simple preventive measure for yourself and to protect your loved ones.
