The session will feature presentations by Olga Bronnikova, a lecturer at the Université Bordeaux Montaigne (Passages), on 'Making Exile Habitable: Russian Migrations and Reconfigurations of Living Environments in Tbilisi (Georgia)'. Her presentation will draw on ethnographic research conducted since 2022, examining how Russian exiles in Tbilisi are reshaping their environment and rebuilding daily life continuity amidst the precariousness of exile geographies.
Elise Olmedo, a postdoctoral researcher at Passages, will present 'Constructing, Deconstructing, and Reconstructing Narrative: Approaching Memory Through Sensitive Cartography'. She will detail a collaborative project undertaken in Quebec between 2019 and 2023, focusing on representing memories through sensitive mapping and the use of Rwandan life stories.
