The EHPAD Home Marie-Curie in Villenave-d'Ornon invites all residents, without exception, to share a lunch in its dining room, an initiative aimed at fostering intergenerational connections.

The Home Marie-Curie facility, often perceived as a closed-off place, chooses to open up to the town with its "Les Papilles de Curie" initiative. This project invites the inhabitants of Villenave-d'Ornon to join the EHPAD's table for lunch, to meet residents, and to share a convivial moment. The invitation is open to everyone, with no need to know someone there.
Meals are prepared daily by a team of professionals who focus on the quality of products, nutritional balance, and the pleasure of eating well. This approach also allows visitors to discover the establishment's culinary expertise and to see how important good food is for the residents' well-being.
Sitting at the residents' tables in the dining room encourages simple and authentic exchanges, strengthening the bond between generations. This initiative is part of a broader effort to make the EHPAD a place open to the town, encouraging inhabitants to step inside and fostering intergenerational encounters.
Lunches are offered every other Thursday, starting from November 12, between 12 PM and 1:30 PM. The cost is €9 per meal. Places are limited to a maximum of 4 guests per lunch, and registration is mandatory the week before the meal by calling 05 56 75 91 60.
