Held at the Limoges Museum of Fine Arts, the event featured IRCER presenting a variety of experiments through fun workshops. These highlighted the creation and properties of ceramics, complemented by illustrations on matter organization and water properties.
The workshops focused on three key aspects:
• « Slips & Ceramics »: This workshop, using materials like plates, glasses, and cutlery, allowed participants of all ages to discover slip casting techniques and porcelain glazing.
• « How Do Atoms Arrange Themselves? »: This session underscored a fundamental difference between ceramics and glass: their atomic organization.
• « Ceramics Get Wet and Emulsify »: The final workshop illustrated current innovations in ceramic surface properties, their formation through emulsion, and how porous ceramics can offer sustainable cooling solutions.
