The initiative, which saw participation from 35 out of the facility's 50 residents (some multiple times), also attracted 46 external visitors and 3 residents from the Foyer des Cigalons, totaling 157 visits over three days.
This phase of the Micro-Folie, focused on cultural democratization, aimed to make art accessible to people with reduced mobility. By remaining in their familiar environment, residents were able to discover various artworks and landscapes, sparking curiosity and wonder. The creative workshops, in turn, fostered expression, motor skills, self-confidence, and social connection, notably thanks to the presence of external visitors.
This cultural residency was the result of close collaboration with Joanna, the EHPAD's activities coordinator. Her knowledge of the residents allowed for the adaptation of visits and workshops to their specific abilities and desires.
This initial experience confirms the role of the Micro-Folie as a tool for cultural democratization, sharing, and social cohesion. The Micro-Folie's tour will resume in January 2027, with new stops planned to continue bringing art and culture closer to the inhabitants of the territory.
