From September 28, 2026 to November 15, 2026, the public is invited to participate in the prior consultation regarding the general revision of the Territorial Coherence Scheme (SCoT) of the MACS intercommunal community. This process is an essential preliminary step before the project's finalization.
The SCoT is a strategic document that plans territorial development for the coming years, integrating environmental, housing, and mobility issues. Developed by MACS, it coordinates the development of the 23 member communes through a Strategic Development Project (PAS) and an Orientation and Objectives Document (DOO).
This revision aims to translate a renewed vision of the territory and to support ecological, climatic, energy, economic, and social transitions for the next two decades. A consultation report will be compiled before the public inquiry scheduled for 2027, followed by approval in the Community Council.
The consultation file is available on the MACS website (cc-macs.org), on the online register (registre-dematerialise.fr), and in paper format at the MACS headquarters in Saint-Vincent de Tyrosse.
Contributions can be submitted via the online register, by email to concertation-publique-7702@registre-dematerialise.fr, by postal mail to the Urban Planning Service in Saint-Vincent de Tyrosse, or on the paper register available at MACS.
Two public meetings are also organized: on November 2, 2026 in Capbreton at 6 PM, and on November 3, 2026 in Soustons at 6 PM.
