SICTOM du Marsan is launching a collection drive for your old prescription glasses, sunglasses, and their cases at its 8 recycling centers, to enable their reuse for solidarity purposes.

Your old pairs of glasses, even if damaged or outdated, can still be useful. SICTOM du Marsan invites residents to drop off their prescription glasses (adult and children's), sunglasses (with or without correction), and their hard or soft cases at the territory's recycling centers.
This simple and supportive gesture aims to promote reuse and help people in need to see better. A donated pair can significantly improve someone's daily life, allowing them to read, work, learn, or move around safely.
After collection, the glasses and cases are handled by L’Opticien qui Bouge. They are then sent to the association Médico Lions Club de France, which sorts, washes, and measures the lens power. These glasses are then redistributed as part of their humanitarian actions.
To participate, simply gather the glasses and cases you no longer need and deposit them in the dedicated container during your next visit to the nearest recycling center. Waste management agents are available to guide you. There is no need to clean or repair the items before donating.
