The Forum for Industry and Aeronautics Careers will hold its 9th edition at the Espace Océan in Anglet on October 20 and 21. This free event, aimed at the general public, seeks to raise awareness of the diversity of careers in the sector and employment prospects, particularly for young people.
Around twenty companies, including Alkar, BMS Circuits, Celsa France, Dassault Aviation, the Artzainak group, and Safran, along with training organizations such as Lauak eskola, Estia, Afso, and the French Navy, will be present.
The interactive program includes "Flash Info Métiers" mini-conferences, activities, a competition, and meetings with local and regional stakeholders. Practical workshops will allow attendees to discover maintenance and robotics professions with the Greta CFA Aquitaine on October 20 at 2:30 PM, and careers at Safran Helicopter Engines at 4:30 PM.
On October 21, Dassault Aviation will present the fitter and laminator professions. The ACAAL Côte Basque association will offer a workshop on building and maintaining aircraft at 11 AM, followed by a presentation on aeronautics careers in the Armed Forces at 2:30 PM.
Visitors can also test flight simulators from the center in Itxassou or the Aéroclub basque.
Organized by the City of Anglet and the Union of Industries and Metallurgy Professions (UIMM), with support from the Communauté d’agglomération Pays Basque, the forum will run from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and 2 PM to 5:30 PM. Admission is free.
