In various venues such as community halls, association premises, or workshops, thousands of amateur artists dedicate their daily lives to their passion, rehearsing scales and imagining new creations. The ELKI program aims to support these amateur groups in their creative process, thereby fostering the emergence of new artistic and cultural projects throughout the territory.
For several months, professionals and technicians share their experience, transmit their know-how, question existing practices, and open up new avenues. This collaboration allows participants to experiment, gain autonomy, and give a new dimension to their projects.
The ELKI adventure does not stop at creation; each supported initiative must reach the public. Whether it's a theatrical performance, a concert, an exhibition, or a presentation, the goal is to see the artistic process through to completion. These cultural events also provide opportunities for the municipalities of the Basque Country to boost cultural life, create moments of sharing, and highlight local associations.
The call for initiatives can finance up to 50% of associations' projects, up to a maximum of 5,000 euros. Special attention is given to creations that defend Basque and Occitan-Gascon languages and cultures. For projects related to Basque culture, the Basque Cultural Institute offers complementary technical and financial support of up to 2,000 euros.
Application files must be submitted online before October 31st.
