The town of Montardon turned pink on Saturday, October 17th, for the sixth edition of Pink October, a morning dedicated to solidarity and breast cancer prevention.

Montardon's market square was vibrant with pink on Saturday morning, with participating merchants and residents. The event aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer screening and support the fight against the disease.
The event began with a speech by Magali Cerdan, a nurse from Montardon, who emphasized the importance of screening: 'Detected early, breast cancer is curable in more than 9 out of 10 cases.'
In terms of sports, over 50 walkers took part, joined by about fifteen runners on the trail course and forty cyclists.
Activities for all ages were offered, including a family taïso initiation at the dojo and the cultural program 'Breasts in Art' at the Micro-Folie. The association L’Échappée littéraire, in partnership with Laps Art, hosted jewelry bookmark creation workshops.
This mobilization, organized by the town's animation team led by Sabine Daube and Thomas Beugnies, brought residents together for a common cause. Participation was free, benefiting the Ligue contre le cancer.
