Six round tables are being held in Rochefort to address issues related to river, estuary, and coastal areas. These meetings, open to all, aim to foster dialogue between elected officials, scientists, institutional representatives, and economic actors to better understand the dynamics of these environments.
Discussions will take place in the morning at the Hôtel Mercure (Salle Bégon) and in the afternoon at the Palais des Congrès (Auditorium and Salle Loti). Topics covered include how estuaries function and the impact of human activities, sustainable water management, adaptation to living by the water, blue finance and associated risks, the role of artistic creation in raising awareness of water's fragility, and shared governance of common goods.
Among the speakers, Elodie Galko, director of the Agence de l’eau Adour-Garonne, will participate in the 10 am round table.
“"An estuary, how does it work? How do human activities impact the state of estuaries?"
“"Too much water or not enough? What is sustainable water management?"
“"Living by the water, how to adapt? Will we still be able to live by the water?"
“"Blue finance and risks Will the cost of our inaction be higher than the cost of our action?"
“"The voice of the arts, creators from upstream to downstream of rivers How does artistic creation make water's fragilities visible to reinvent our imaginations and ways of acting?"
“"What governance to ensure our common goods? Feedback from experiences to imagine shared governance"
