The municipal council of Montardon, meeting on October 5 under the presidency of mayor Stéphane Bonnassiolle, approved several key decisions, including funding for the future school and the sharing of the development tax.

The municipality of Montardon has authorized Enedis to install an underground electrical pipeline extending approximately 190 meters for the connection of the new Free telephone antenna. This servitude will result in a lump-sum indemnity of 20 euros paid to the municipality. A second agreement concerns the electrical connection of the multipurpose hall, linked to the construction of future school buildings, with a foreseen indemnity of 10 euros.
The municipal council also unanimously approved the extension until December 31, 2028, of the agreement for sharing the development tax in inter-municipal economic activity zones. The distribution remains set at 70% remitted to the Communauté de communes des Luys en Béarn and 30% retained by the municipality.
Finally, elected officials gave their approval for the mayor to contract a loan of 1.627 million euros from the Caisse des dépôts et consignations. This funding is intended for the construction of the new school building, which will include kindergarten and elementary classes.
