For the 20th anniversary of the XLIM institute, a public conference was held in Brive to shed light on the current capabilities of artificial intelligence and its application in scientific research.

As part of the 20th anniversary of the XLIM institute, a public conference took place in Brive, attracting many participants eager to discover the actual capabilities of current artificial intelligences.
Titled "When AI Starts Searching: From Neural Networks to Scientific Discoveries," this event aimed to open the door to the 'black box' of AI, from neural networks to large language models, to better understand recent advancements, their real capacities, and what still belongs to fantasy.
The conference also highlighted another facet of artificial intelligence: the role it can play in scientific research.
This evening was primarily a valuable moment of exchange, curiosity, and sharing with the public, helping to raise awareness about the research conducted at XLIM and the scientific challenges associated with the rise of AI.
