Following a successful first edition, the 'human library' concept returns to the Brive Book Fair for its second year, featuring fifteen-minute individual encounters.

The 'Humans to Read!' project, inspired by the human library concept, is back for its second edition at the Brive Book Fair. This initiative offers an original way to discover stories by turning people and their experiences into 'books' to be heard.
For this new edition, five themes are offered. Participants, in groups of five, are guided to a theme to meet a 'human book' – an individual willing to share their story, experiences, and perspective.
These fifteen-minute encounters are designed as a time for exchange, questioning, and discovery, fostering an understanding of realities through each person's lived experience. In a framework of respect and kindness, participants share their journeys, struggles, doubts, as well as hopes and stories of resilience.
Five themes are presented, each with a dedicated author or speaker: 'Family Violence' with Romain Lemire, 'Depression' with Rodrigo Capo Ortega, 'Family Heritage' with Anna Ostasenko Bogdanoff, 'Grief' with Cendrine Dominguez, and 'Wounded Childhood' with Franck Courtès. The encounters will take place between 2 PM and 4 PM.
