The François-Rabelais media library in Coulounieix-Chamiers is launching a call for applications for the Book Fair of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival in Périgord, taking place on June 5 and 6, 2027. Authors, illustrators, and publishers have until January 1, 2027 to apply.

The François-Rabelais media library, in partnership with the association Science-Fiction et Fantastique en Périgord (SFFP), is seeking authors, illustrators, and publishing houses to participate in the Book Fair integrated into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival in Périgord. This event, in its second edition, will take place on June 5 and 6, 2027 in Coulounieix-Chamiers. The aim is to bring together professionals from the world of imaginary literature for a friendly event open to all audiences.
Following a first edition that hosted 37 authors and nearly 1,000 visitors, the festival aims to enrich its literary programming. Participating in the book fair offers an opportunity to present one's works to a passionate audience, gain visibility, meet other professionals in the sector, and interact with readers. Participants can also take part in festival activities and, for authors, thematic round tables.
The organizing team wishes to maintain the event's warm atmosphere, conducive to encounters and sharing around contemporary imaginaries.
Applications are open to professionals whose productions fall within the universes of science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, or more broadly, imaginary literature. Applications must be sent by email to mediatheque@coulounieix-chamiers.fr or submitted directly to the media library, at the château des Izards, before January 1, 2027.
